After serving as Chief Minister of Bihar, Rani Bharti sets her sights on becoming Prime Minister of India. However, tragedy and betrayal alter everything just as her moment of victory seemed imminent. This season, Rani moved from the political center of Bihar to the volatile city of Delhi, where she clashed with Vipin Sharma’s character, Prime Minister Shree Sudhakar Sriniwas Joshi. To the surprise of her son Jai and her supporters, Rani resigns from her position as chief minister and selects her daughter Roshni (Shweta Basu Prasad) as her successor after being wrongly accused of killing Governor Govardhan Das.

Family strife arises when Jai develops feelings for the daughter of the Home Minister, whose family proposes a political requirement for their union: Roshan must step down as Chief Minister so that Jai can assume the role. However, the true heartbreak occurs in the last episode, right before Rani takes office as India’s prime minister.
Rani is astonished when Mr. Joshi regains control, thus her joy is short-lived. She tries to contact Jai, but he doesn’t answer. She soon finds out that Jai and his friend Rishi Agarwal were discovered murdered in an unexplained manner. Surya (played by Darsheel Safary), Rani’s youngest son, later learns the truth: Jai was murdered and the post-mortem report was altered. Rani, devastated and furious, swears to exact retribution.
